Russian ruble falls on current account surplus plunge
MOSCOW, Nov 10 (PRIME) -- The Russian ruble rate against the U.S. dollar plunged by 1.1 rubles to 64.99 as of 7.25 p.m. Moscow time on Thursday, according to the Moscow exchange, due to purchases of the foreign currency after the central bank reported a 73% fall in the current account surplus in January–October.
The ruble fell 82 kopecks to 70.59 against the euro.
